The education program is the most critical piece of our service model because it can be the key difference in whether or not employees get motivated to prepare for retirement. However, it can also be the most liability intensive for Plan Sponsors. Typical service models discriminate against large groups of employees and are often a means to sell products. Partnering with the right Education Fiduciary to deliver your education program will help to implement appropriate accountability standards that are a critical step in demonstrating proper care.

In order for the program to be effective, it must be delivered effectively by the “right” people. We live in a wonderful country, rich with diversity; however, these cultural differences can pose challenges for employers trying to implement a widespread education program. In most instances, it makes more sense to divide your employees up by demographic groups, to achieve social similarities.
